DO YOU OWE DELINQUENT MOTOR VEHICLE TAXES?
If you need a motor vehicle release you will need to pay your taxes in full by cash, money order or charge card. If you would like to take care of this through the mail, please send your bills - money order - self addressed stamped envelope - and a note asking for a motor vehicle release to be sent back to you. If it is necessary to pay the bill(s) with a personal check, you will need to wait 10 business days before we can send you a motor vehicle release.
The State of Connecticut General Statutes, Section 12-130 states: "failure to receive a bill does not invalidate the tax"
