Watertown Recreation Department is sponsoring the following trips.  For more information please contact Watertown Recreation at (860) 945-5246. Payment must accompany registration.

These trips are open to residents as well as non-residents and are on a first-come first-served basis.  We can cancel a trip at any time due to lack of enrollment, so register early.  We’ll need the name, the full address (including zip code) and phone number of each person going on the trip.  Please be sure to have this entire information ready at the time of registration.

Saturday, January 14 – Sunday, January 15, 2012; Uconn Ladies vs. Villanova

It’s a battle of cats and dogs as the Wildcats take on their rivals Uconn Huskies. Overnight in Philadelphia and a special sports themed city tour with stop at one of Philly’s Famous Cheese Steaks restaurant. Come support the Uconn ladies bring Husky mania to Pennsylvania! This trip will include a *reserved seat to the Villanova Athletic Center (on campus pavilion), *1 night accommodations Holiday Inn Express in Philadelphia *pre or post game-victory dinner *breakfast *sports themed city tour *stop at one of Philly’s Cheese Steaks Restaurant (on own) and *deluxe motorcoach with a tour director.

Saturday, May 19, 2012; China’s famed Terra Cotta Warriors

Come explore China’s famed Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, arguably the most significant archeological excavations of the past few decades. Discovery Times Square Expo Center will be transformed into ancient China with figures and relics, representing life from 221 to 210 B.C., when China’s first emperor was in power. Featuring close to 100 objects, including 15 terra cotta figures, the exhibition is the largest collection of significant artifacts from China ever to travel to the United States.
