NPDES Stormwater Phase II Program
The Town of Watertown Public Works Department (DPW) would like to announce to the public that copies of the 2008 National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II Program annual report for Watertown are available for review. The report may be viewed (without attachments) on the Public Works Department section of the town of Watertown website (click here). Bound copies, with attachments, are also available for review at the following town of Watertown departmental locations:
- Public Works
- Planning and Zoning
- Town Manager
- Town Clerk
- Watertown Library – Main Branch
- Watertown Library – Oakville Branch
The purpose of the program is to reduce or eliminate non-point source pollution to the streams, rivers and other water bodies that eventually discharge into the Long Island Sound.

NPDES Stormwater Phase II Program
The Town of Watertown Public Works Department (DPW) would like to announce to the public that it has obtained materials for labeling catch basins and storm drain structures from the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection. Interested parties may obtain these labels from the DPW free of charge. Each label says, “Drains to Waterways and Long Island Sound – NO DUMPING!” These labels are being supplied as part of the educational and outreach program required by the National Pollution Discharge and Elimination System Stormwater Phase II permit for the Town. The purpose of the program is to reduce or eliminate non-point source pollution to the streams, rivers and other water bodies that eventually discharge into the Long Island Sound.
