Watertown Police Department
Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

The Watertown Police Detective Division is an active ICAC Task Force member, proactively investigating internet crimes. Our investigative focus is on the distribution of child pornography and the sexual solicitation of children through chat rooms, social networks, and other means. Our agency has the equipment and means to investigate these high tech crimes. We work with other area departments, state and federal agencies to acomplish these tasks.

The Watertown Police Department and the Watertown School system have collaboratively created an internet safety presentation geared towards students at Swift Junior High and the Watertown High School. The presentation’s intent is to educate students on not only how to protect themselves from predators, but also on how to keep themselves from breaking the law while using the internet. The Watertown Police Department also provides Internet Safety Presentations for parents and guardians.
