a. Consider Appointments to Boards and Commissions.

1. Town Council Appointment(s) on Negotiating Committee for the Watertown Education Association Negotiations.The terms of various boards and commissions have expired or are expiring. Appointments must be made to fill these vacancies.

 

b. Consider Request for Bid Waiver for Summer Recreation Uniforms.

Town Council Authorization is required for any purchase exceeding $4,000 that has not been independently bid by the Town's Purchasing Agent.

c. Consider Authorizing Interim Town Manager to Sign a Lease Agreement with the Siemon Company for Office Space for Building Inspector, Health Department, Planning and Zoning, Parks and Recreation, Social Services, Engineering/Public Works, and Registrar of Voters.

Leases for the above offices are due to expire on November 30, 2002. The Siemon Company has offered a two (2) year lease for the above.

d. Consider Request for Bid Waiver for Rec Trac.Software

Town Council Authorization is required for any purchase exceeding $4,000 that has not been independently bid by the Town's Purchasing Agent. The Recreation Director has requested a bid waiver to purchase an operating system/cash register, which would integrate receipts with registration of participants in Recreation programs.

Consider Setting Mill Rate for Real Estate Taxes July 1, 2002.

As of this date a budget has not been passed. The mill rate must be established to levy the taxes on the first installment for real estate taxes.

Consider Setting Budget Public Hearing Date for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 Finance Subcommittee Recommended Budget.

The Town Council will consider setting a Budget Public Hearing to hear additional comments on the Fiscal Year 2002-2003 Budget.

g. Consider Setting Referendum Date for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 Budget.

The Town Council will consider a date for the next referendum on the budget.

h Consider Charge to Public Buildings Committee to Work in Cooperation with the Town Council Facility Subcommittee to Assess Town Facilities.

The Town Council will charge the Public Buildings Committee to work in cooperation with the Town Council Facilities Subcommittee to evaluate existing Town facilities for potential future use and ultimate disposition while determining how each facility relates to a comprehensive facilities plan.


Discussion Regarding Police Assessment Report

The Town Council will discuss the Police Assessment Report presented at the Special Meeting held on June 13, 2002 and determine the next step of the evaluation process.


j Consider Approval of Transfers.

The Town Council is being asked to authorize the transfer of departmental funding between line items.


k. Consider Cancellation of Town Council Meeting Scheduled for July 1, 2002.
