  2. Consider appointments to Boards and Commissions.

1.      Consider the nomination of Jack Walton, 39 Phillips Drive, Oakville, as a member of the Police Commission to replace Thomas Durso for a term to expire January 31, 2012.

2.      Consider the nomination of Ronald Russ, 135 Porter Street, Watertown to replace George Velezis as a regular member of the Planning and Zonign Commission for a term to expire January 31, 2012.

 

    1. Consider setting a Special Town Meeting for funding the Straits Turnpike Sanit= ary Sewer Extension from Carvel (Intersection of SR 63 & 73) to the vicinity of house No. 135 Straits Turnpike to be as follows: $216,000= to be appropriated from the Water and Sewer Debt Fund; an appropriation = in the amount of $80,000 from the Sewer Extension Fund and an appropriat= ion from the General Fund in the amount of $84,000.

 

    1. Consider a bid waiver request for the purchase of remaining voice and data infrastructure for an amount not to exceed $13,110 to be purchased through Tricom Cable, LLC in connections with the Firehouse Company #1 renovations.  (A bid wai= ver was previously authorized for a portion of the project.)

 

    1. Consider authorizing the Town Manager to apply to Cablevision of Litchfield for live-feed airtime for scheduled Town Council Meetings.

 

    1. Consider authorizing the Town Manager to formally request 8-24 approval for leasing Town property located at Old Baird Road for the purpos= e of cell tower construction.

 

    1. Consider authorizing the Town Manager to forward a letter to Planning and Zoni= ng in support of legislation permitting municipalities to establish side= walk funds.
