A.&nbs= p;       D.E.C.D. Speaker at February Meeting - Richard LoPriest, Venue Change?

=            Mr. McGrail stated Mr. LoPriest is tentatively scheduled to speak at the Februa= ry 16, 2006 meeting. He wanted to invite the Town Council as well. The venue may have to be changed to accommodate more people; the Com= mission will be informed. This meetin= g will be to see what the State has to offer the Town of Watertown.

B.&nbs= p;        Turkey Brook Project

=            Mr. McGrail reported the Commission previously voted to recommend not to oppose= the Heritage Woods project. This = should be Wattles Brook, not Turkey Brook.

=             M= OTION:       (Mr. Marcoux, sec. Mr. Manno) to send a letter to the Town Council supporting the Wattles Brook Sewer Project.

=            Discuss= ion:       Mr. Marcoux: It's a good idea to send it to the newspaper also.

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;            &= nbsp; Mr. McGrail: I agree.

=            Mr. McGrail will send the letter to the Town Council.

C.&nbs= p;       Local Business Support

=            Mr. McGrail discussed removing snow and making a more friendly environment for businesses in Town. A discuss= ion ensued.

7.&nb= sp;        Old and Unfinished Business

  &= nbsp;         A.        Industrial Park Signs

  &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;         Mr. McGrail reported he met with the Director of Public Works to discuss the location of these signs. He distributed maps to illustrate the locations. A lengthy discussion ensued. What Mr. McGrail hoped to accompli= sh tonight is for the Commission to come to an agreement that the concept is right, get Mr. Cavanaugh to begin the permitting process, cause he has to m= ake an application to the State, and then the Commission can meet with Mr. Cavanaugh regarding the amount of signs, style, size, etc.

=             M= OTION:       (Mr. Marcoux, sec. Mr. Manno) to send a letter to the Director of Public Works to start the application process for the business park signs.

Mr. Migliarese asked what happened with Napoli Imports?

Mr. Mc= Grail replied Ms. Barton spoke to them and there were some questions. He doesn't think Watertown had a piece of property that Napoli need= ed, but he didn't think any doors are necessarily closed.

  &= nbsp;         B.         = E.D.C. Survey - Co-Meeting with Planning and Zoning

  &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;         Mr. McGrail stated everyone should have received a copy of the survey. He felt the people in Town wanted = retail and commercial growth, more so than no growth whatsoever; they're looking f= or a better tax base. A discussion ensued.

  &= nbsp;         C.        Job Description for E.D.C. Coordinator

  &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;         Mr. McGrail reported he sent the letter to the Town Council which will be read = into the next meeting. He also ema= iled the Town Manager to set up a meeting for next week some time. Technically this could be his last meeting, because his term is up, so he wanted to at least have Mr. Traver t= here just in case he's not reappointed after this evening and the Commission doe= sn't have to rehash this over again. He'll email a copy of the survey to Tom Hill. A discussion ensued regarding the = job description.
