= Mr. McGrail reported Ms. Pilicy is present this evening representing the Chambe= r, but Mr. O'Neil is out of State this evening.
B.&nbs= p; Economic Development Coordinator Introduction
= Mr. McGrail introduced Joseph Seacrist, the Economic Development Coordinator as well as reiterate the importance of this position.

Mr.
Seacrist gave a brief overview of where we are and where we're going. He's been employed here now for 3 =
weeks
and has been talking with someone who wants to move his business to Town.
C.&nbs= p; Town Manager's Report
= Mr. Frigon also welcomed Mr. Seacrist and stated his presence will be a great help. Mr. Seacrist is also wo= rking on the Town's inventories, they've got a plan design to hopefully manage th= ose inventories better than in the past, and they are working on a design for t= he web site. He is also working = on meeting with some of the resources that are available, such as Northeast Utilities, Yankee Gas, the Waterbury Development Corporation, and the Chamb= er of Commerce.

D.&nbs= p; Set Meeting Schedule for 2007 - Third Thursday of the Month
= MOTION:= (Mr. Traver, sec. Mr. Marcoux) to set the meeting schedule for 2007 for the third Thursday of every month, at 7:30 p.m., at the Town Hall Annex.

E.&nbs= p; Judy Wick - Overview of Zoning Designations
= Ms. Wick gave an overview of the Planning & Zoning functions. A discussion ensued.

Concepts - Anthony
= Mr. McGrail reported the students were not present; he would speak to the Superintendent of Schools.
= Mr. Seacrist reported the students did submit a draft design for the web site, = and it has to be approved before they can put it on the web site. He will print them out for the Com= mission members to review.
G.&nbs= p; Update of Meeting with Anthony Price
= Mr. McGrail gave a report regarding the meeting he had with Mr. Frigon, Mr. Seacrist, Anthony Price, and Tom Gentile of the Waterbury Development Corporation. He also discusse= d the possibility of doing a brochure similar to what they've done.
= Mr. Seacrist reported he attended this morning's Watertown/Oakville's Chamber meeting. He suggested they li= nk businesses in Town to the Town's web site, particularly if a business has t= heir own web site. A discussion en= sued regarding the web site as well as a brochure.
H.&nbs= p; Attendance at Next Business Expo
= Mr. McGrail reported he felt this Commission should have a table at the next expo. He asked Mr. Seacrist t= o look into this possibility.

&= nbsp; &nbs= p; Mr. Frigon reported he hasn't heard anything more, other than Mr. Cavanaugh reporting they were scheduled to be put up.
&= nbsp; B. = Route 8 Signage Update Letter to Williams/DeLuca
&= nbsp; &nbs= p; Mr. McGrail reported Mr. Frigon wanted to take a different route to get some th= ings done the right way.
&= nbsp; &nbs= p; Mr. Frigon replied they've been pursuing these signs for a number of years, so = he suggested they write to the State reporting this Town's success with busine= ss and how there is a traffic concern on the State roads in Watertown. He felt the appropriate signage wi= ll eliminate the traffic on the Town roads.
&= nbsp; &nbs= p; Mr. McGrail replied they would pursue this avenue and if this is not done during the next legislative session, they would send a letter to the representativ= es.
&= nbsp; C. Meet and Greet Meeting with Local Business - Discussion
&= nbsp; &nbs= p; Mr. McGrail reported he spoke to someone at the Grand Oak Villa and wants to sp= eak to Cavallo's to see what it would cost to hold this type of event. Hopefully by the next meeting he'l= l have some prices and maybe they can solicit help from the Chamber.
&= nbsp; &nbs= p; Ms. Pilicy reported the Chamber has hosted a number of small breakfast meetings= and they do have money budgeted for those type of events, so she thought they m= ay be able to help in this regard.
&= nbsp; D. List of Action Item for new Economic Development Coordinator (through Town Manag= er's Office)
&= nbsp; &nbs= p; Mr. McGrail reported they've already discussed this issue earlier in the meetin= g.
&= nbsp; E. = Henlopen Letter Usage (Phone Conversation)
&= nbsp; &nbs= p; Mr. Seacrist reported he and the Project Manager for the Henlopen project in Watertown keep playing phone tag and have simply not connected yet to ask h= im what's going on, what are their intentions, an d if they're willing to sell, and if so, what are they going to do with it. Tomorrow morning he will wait to h= ear from him. He seems like a nic= e, cooperative person in the voicemail messages. A discussion ensued.
