Ms. Pilicy-Sprano:  I want to welcome Mark Tedesco as a member of the Police Commission.  I do want to mention to the people that are here from Hamilton Lane, thank you for coming tonight, we did change Public Participation to the end of the agenda so you have an opportunity to listen to the presentation and if you have any quest= ions or concerns, you can let us know at that time.

 

3.&nb= sp;        Consider Changing Hamilton Lane to One-Way Traffic Eastbound

 

 &= nbsp;          Todd LoFrese, Assistant Superinten= dent of Schools

 

 &= nbsp;          Mr. LoFrese:  First I would like to thank everyo= ne for coming out, for yet another evening.  We appreciate it.  This meeting is one of several that we are navigating through to allow us to get= to an important date, which is February 25th before the State Department at the Board of Education and that is for a thorough review, a S= tate and School Facilities Unit Review that will ultimately allow the project to= go out to bid and keep us on schedule with a Summer start to construction.  Our traffic engineer, Mr. Henry Bi= ttman is here, he’s here to present some information regarding a traffic st= udy that was a request of Planning and Zoning that we look at having Hamilton L= ane perhaps be a one way street, and they also asked for the input and consider= ation of the Police Commission along with this traffic study.

 &= nbsp;          Mr. Bittman explained the results of his traffic study.  A lengthy discussion ensued.  The recommendation was if made a o= ne way, to come in Hamilton L= ane, through Route 6.

 

 &= nbsp;          Ms. Pilicy-Sprano, Vice Chairman, read a letter from Fire Chief Black into the record.

 

 &= nbsp;          Ms. Pilicy-Sprano, Vice Chairman, read a letter from Police Chief Gavallas into= the record.
