   &nbs= p;        The Town Council of the Town of Watertown will= hold public hearings at Swift<= /st1:PlaceName> Middle School, Gymn= asium, 250 Colonial Street, Oakville, Connecticut, on Monday, March= 29, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. to c= onsider the following proposed ordinances:  <= /span>

 

 

            <= /span>1.        &= nbsp;            AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1,165,000 FOR REPLACEMENT OF DETERIORATED ROOF AND RELATED DECKING AND ACCESSORIES AT POLK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, = AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUE OF BONDS OR NOTES AND TEMPORARY NOTES TO FINANCE SUCH PORTION OF SAID APPROPRIATION AS IS NOT DEFRAYED FROM GRANTS

 

            <= /span>2.         = AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $27,055,000 FOR&nb= sp; RENOVATION OF AND ADDITIONS TO GORDON C. SWIFT MIDDLE SCHOOL TO PROV= IDE AN APPROXIMATELY 1,000 STUDENT CAPACITY SCHOOL TO SERVE GRADES SIX THROUGH EIGHT, AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUE OF BONDS OR NOTES AND TEMPORARY NOTES TO FINANCE SUCH PORTION OF SAID APPROPRIATION AS IS NOT DEFRAYED FROM GRANTS

 

Copies of the proposed or= dinances are on file with the Town Clerk of the Town of Watertown.  Eligible voters and affected perso= ns will be heard at the public hearings concerning the proposed ordinances.
