General Information
The mission of the Watertown Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of the Town of Watertown by providing high-quality emergency fire, rescue, and first responder medical service. The Department will provide an excellent fire prevention program, including public education, and will maintain a firefighting force capable of handling all types of emergencies. These emergencies may include but are not limited to, firefighting of all types, hazardous response, first responder emergency medical services, and rescues.
Whenever possible, the members of the Department shall participate in Department-approved work details, EMS and fire standbys, and other functions as organized by the Department, the Town, or Private Organizations.
The Department will accomplish this mission while maintaining a high regard for the safety and health of our personnel. The Department will maintain a high standard of training and education, maintain the Fire Department stations, apparatus and equipment, and will interact professionally with other Town, State, and Federal agencies.

Watertown Fire Department is looking to recruit firefighters to fill our ranks.
Requirements for membership are as follows:
- A resident of the Town of Watertown
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Being of good moral character
